Sneeze
Through barefoot community , we are causing mischief, curiosity, and swirl-changing lives that change the world.
We are a young community-there is a truth to our coming of age ministry.
Its all about the sneezers and what they do-God is yelling stretch out your arms, bring the strangers into you.
There was a time I needed a smile-I looked for years, traveled miles.
Then a friend sneezed into me-as I walked in I found a fresh, warm, loving ministry.
I didn’t find a bunch of people turning away-instead what I found made me sneeze that same day.
Sneezers were at the doors, screaming hello, arms spread wide-what I felt that day open my eyes.
I couldn’t get enough of what those strangers offered me-this is why Im here volunteering at barefoot community.
As I sat in that church, I wanted that feeling, I wanted to know-as I sat a tall man walked out as he spoke his words did glow.
People didnt look at me as if I didn’t belong-theyre attitude and honesty was like a beautiful song.
Everything blended well-I was looking for something to replace my hell.
The hell of addiction, confusion and shoves-as I walked from Barefoot I could still feel the love.
Today I get to sneeze on others-to spread the word to all of my struggling sisters and brothers.
Im part of the volunteers men, women, boys and girls-together we are changing lives, that change the world.
